Prost to fall: 13 fall beers ranked from worst to best
And don’t let them fool you or shame you, pumpkin spice is for everyone! The coffees, the pumpkin bread, the cakes, the pies, the cocktails, the cookies – to repeat – pumpkin spice everything.
Journalist. Writer. Storyteller. Content Creator. Enthusiast.
Hello! My name is Cypris Wilkinson.
I'm fueled by a love for exploration and discovery. I cherish every opportunity to travel, immersing myself in diverse cultures and experiences that enrich my knowledge of the world.
My career goals have evolved over time, but storytelling has always felt like a natural fit for me. As someone who craves change and thrives on being in the field, I envision a career where I can travel frequently, discovering and sharing stories that resonate with diverse communities.
From an early age, I have been captivated by the arts and their ability to communicate profound stories, a passion that deepened during my undergraduate work and continues in my graduate studies focusing on the culinary arts.
Uncovering the narratives of local people and places steeped in art and history inspired me to pursue journalism that celebrates the human experience and the power of creativity. I aspire for my work to entertain and inspire, inviting audiences to think deeply about the world around them.
My favorite word, "sonder," encapsulates my approach to storytelling: the recognition of the vast and complex lives others live. This realization, equal parts sorrowful and comforting, motivates me to seek out the untold stories that connect us all.
For anyone who knows me, they know food has always been a passion of mine. From baking and selling cakes at 13 to cooking gumbo in a college dorm room, I've always thrown myself into whatever kitchen I could find.
Being the Executive Producer and reviving Cooking With Cuse at Syracuse University is truly a dream! It brings me right back to watching Food Network in my grandmother's living room and falling in love with food storytelling and the connections food brings.
Thank you to Dialynn Dwyer for this wonderful write-up in Syracuse University Today! I’m excited to keep seeing which kitchens I can work myself into next, but for now, be on the lookout for new Cooking With Cuse episodes dropping this semester.
Cooking with Cuse would not be possible without my wonderful team and crew, Maggie Robinson, Malcolm Taylor, Anna Lapidus, and last but not least, Megan Craig!
A story I never expected to find not a mile and a half away from the University of Montevallo. The Aldrich Coal Mine Museum tells the story of a once bustling mining community, and one family's effort to make sure it's not forgotten.
I had an amazing time visiting Ivy League Brew recently and with my VVN's team we bring to you, Local businesses they need to discover!
